It’s Not Who You Would Guess…
Scripts, clothing and looks are a huge story when it comes to the Masters every year.
This year’s trendiest golfer is someone you probably never heard of.
The amateur, 20-year-old Curtis Luck took Augusta by storm this year and caused quite the response in the golf world.
But his attire wasn’t the only thing making headlines. He posted scores of 78, 72, 75 and 72 to finish tied for 46th place. He was the only one of two amateurs to make the cut this year. Rory McIlroy said about Luck “He’s very consistent. I didn’t really see any weaknesses there.”
This guy has a lot of talent and is sure to be appearing on leaderboards for the rest of 2017 as he waved his amateur status the Monday after the Masters.
The hipster looking golfer may be the best dressed golfer on tour since John Daly, although their styles are on different ends of the spectrum.
Luck’s style is a combination of frat boy, golfer and hipster.
What Did He Wear At The Masters?
At the Masters he sported a man bun, which is unknown territory to golfers and older guys. So seeing a man bun at Augusta must have sent some members into a frenzy. He then paired that man bun with a trucker style hat, you would see a frat boy wearing to a party or to class the night after going out. The truth is the trucker-style hats are growing more and more popular and Luck is just as fashionable as any young guy, he just pushed the envelope and brought it to the golf course.
His clothes did not disappoint either. Sporting Callaway apparel, the golfer looked like he was ready for a night out in New York City. He wore a yellow pullover covered in black little stars one day and continued that trend all weekend. His pants were bright and hard to miss in a field of golfers that tend to keep it more traditional and laid back.
Now that Luck is pro, he is in turn a “free agent” when it comes to apparel and equipment. There is no doubt that Luck is going to look for a company to suit his bold style. Callaway already does, so maybe he will stay with them.
It wont be hard to miss Luck on the fairways and the leaderboards for the rest of 2017.WHAT'S YOUR REACTION?
