Every gal needs a little black dress in her closet and in her suitcase for every trip. You never know when you might need it. For this reason, many of the golf apparel companies at the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando were displaying a rendition of the little black dress. The best in show however goes to Tee2Sea.

The Golf Channel must have agreed as the owners were beaming after being featured on air. Known for their colorful, playful designs, the Tee2Sea sisters simply took their wildly successful ruffled neck dress design and painted it ebony.  The “Little Black Ruffled Golf Dress” has the same soft, luxurious draping fabric derived from recycled plastic bottles and a portion of the proceeds are donated to Sea Turtle Rescue missions. How easy it is to kick off the golf shoes and slip into heels for any upscale event.

Others were waiting in the wings to show off their little black dress designs. Gretchen Scott is another dress company typically known for prints who now offers a solid black sleeveless number. Bermuda Sands has a comfortable A line shift with a zipper closure, though it is not completely black. White shoulder patches and white side stripes keep it a bit more casual yet elegant enough for after golf. And when it comes to elegance, EP New York is always in the forefront, this year with a black and white hounds tooth dress, sleekly fitted with a flattering collar and button-down placket.

Beth DePass is almost meeting the little black dress mark with her ruffled little black skort that makes you want to dance and twirl and her sleek, matching black top that fit together seamlessly for a very dressy look.

The early bird dress winner of the “fore golf and beyond” award will always belong to aDRESSit Golf, owned by actress Kristy Swanson who is too busy still starring in movies to make the golf shows while her little black dress also continues to perform.
