Sean Fister earned his nickname “The Beast,” in part because he was the first to hit a ball over 400-yards in a World Long Drive Championship final. As a three time Re/Max World Long Drive champion with dozens of record drives and titles he has spent 25-years smashing the ball for distance…and money.
So it’s obvious he knows about hitting the ball a long way and now his company, Fister Golf, has introduced a driver, tagged the Model I, that is designed to help golfers of all skill levels to hit the ball further from the tee.
The Model I is different than other drivers with the same type of titanium in the clubface, its face is stronger and has characteristic times (CT) just short of the limit made by the USGA.
“Model I is more than a product name, it is a commitment to golfers to offer the industry’s most technologically-advanced head, paired with the industry’s number one grip and premium shaft for unrivaled performance,” said Fister. “Make no mistake; every aspect of the Model I was designed with the goal in mind of helping golfers hit it longer. Any golfer can benefit from the technology I’ve incorporated into this driver. The thorough research and development behind the Model I and the demanding manufacturing tolerances we mandate all combine with top-level components to ensure that the Model I is the highest quality, best performing driver available.”
Cavities in the sole take up the shock of impact and distribute it back away from the face which helps to keep hook or slice spin to a minimum.
The Model I titanium hosel may be adjusted 1-degree to give each user the best loft, lie and face angle for their swing. The stock shaft is the Fujikura Motore F1. Retail price for the Fister Model I is $399 in either 9 or 10.5 degrees loft at fistergolf.com.
