GOLFTEC is the world leader in golf improvement and club fitting, and they recently announced a brand-new, revolutionary new service for students that are looking to focus their lesson time for effective, lasting improvement.

The new service is called “Skills Challenge” and it provides a unique, fun and addictive way to test yourself against your own swing improvement goals with real results. What makes Skills Challenge unique is that it looks at different metrics, including distance and accuracy, from different distances. Further, it uses all the clubs in your bag to measure your improvement and provide as core to benchmark against.

Since Skills Challenge launched, over 12,000 GOLFTEC students have participate. Vice President of Instruction and Golf Digest Top 50 Teacher in America, Nick Clearwater, notes that it is “not only truly fun for the student, but more importantly, it provides another tool for our Coaches to be able to focus in a student’s instruction and identify opportunities to help people get better faster.”

So, how does Skills Challenge work? In a regular 30-minute golf lesson with your Coach, it goes beyond just instruction and focused practice. During each section of the assessment, you will take two shots from the four stations and distances available, to try and get as close to the pin as possible. Your Coach will analyze and identify areas to work on based on your dispersion pattern. The most exciting feature is the competition, which all golfers can admit to loving! Not only are students testing against themselves, but they are also competing against other students in their Training Center, and in other Centers across the world, via local and global Leaderboards, for the grand prize of bragging rights!

Progress can be tracked through GOLFTEC’s CLUBHOUSE App and website, available for iOS as well as Android devices, and all major web browsers. Within CLUBHOUSE, you can check up on Leaderboards with rankings, detailed breakdowns of your own personal progress, as well as scores.
