Shoe fashions are all tied up with Silk Touch Golf’s laces and accessories for golf shoes. I spotted them in a tiny space along the wall of the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando with a colorful display. At $4.95 a pair, it takes a lot of sales to recoup the cost of a booth there so this was a bold marketing move for them. Their 36” shoelaces come in every color and print in flat or round designs to spiff up any brand pair of tie shoes.
Since it is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the white pairs with pink ribbons are notable. Other patterned options are patriotic, rainbow, camo, animal prints, ladybugs and lips for Mick Jagger. Metallic or flat in the solid colors are available to match any outfit. Change it up and have some fun. Google ways to tie shoes and you will find lots of help. Buzzfeed.com shows 15 creative ways to tie your shoelaces, including ladder and lattice, even a star configuration for consideration at the next Ryder, Presidents or Solheim Cups. One site says mathematically there is a trillion ways to do it, though not all presentable.
Silk Touch Golf also features a Shu Mag that is looped through the base of the bottom lace row with a ball marker attached for efficient marking on the green. This is so handy for the golfers who forget to fish their marker out of their bag before the round. How many times have you heard (or asked), “Have you got a marker?” Or how long might a golfer fumble in their pocket for the marker they remembered? Ready golf?
Shu Mag is ready with the marker right next to the ball on your shoe as you kneel down. This could speed up the pace of play while styling up the golf shoes.
Both the laces and magnet combo are great for team identification or tournament prizes. How about member/guest events? For any golfer gift occasion, tie it up in a bow. www.silktouchgolf.com
