The Golf Channel’s popular 23rd season of the reality competition series, Big Break The Palm Beaches, FL, will be revealing its winner and first player in the Barbasol Championship. The competitors are playing for more than $80,000 in cash and prizes, as well as the exemption to the 2015 Barbasol Championship.
The two finalists include Justin Martinson (26) and Richy Werenski (23). Martinson is one of the most successful amateur golfers in Delaware history, recording his first professional victory in 2011 when he won the Delaware Open. Werenski is the youngest competitor on the series and turned professional immediately after graduation from Georgia Tech in May 2014. He won the 2012 Porter Cup and now has his name engraved on the same trophy as Phil Michelson.
The Big Break finale will air Monday, April 20 at 8pm CST on Golf Channel. The two finalists will also appear on the Golf Channel’s “Morning Drive” morning program on Tuesday, April 21 between 6-8am CST. The Barbasol Championship will be played on the Lake Course at the Grand National location on the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail in Opelika, Alabama. The PGA TOUR event will be held July 13-19, 2015.
