Jeff Curl is no quitter and we are lucky to have him as member of Team New England.

Curl, 35, began his competitive professional career on the egolf and gateway mini tours in 2004. Jeff is the son of Rod Curl, former PGA Tour Champion. His TNE roots are via his mother who lives in Ellington, CT.

Jeff joined the Web.Com Tour, (Nationwide Tour), in 2006. The years 2006 through 2009, he struggled never finishing higher than 133rd on the money list.

His best finish came in 2010 when he placed 58th earning $120,686. 2011 and 2012 saw him finish 172nd and 108th respectively.

In addition to his Web.Com play in 2012, Jeff qualified for the Puerto Rico Open, (71st), Shell Houston Open, (missed the cut), and U.S.Open, (56th) on the PGA Tour. His rank that year on the Web.Com was 108.

Curl did not compete on the Web.Com in 2013 until Q School. He had one start on the PGA Tour, Monday qualifying for the Puerto Rico Open only to miss the cut.

Jeff qualified for Final Stage Q School at PGA West in December 2013 finishing T56th in spite of his final round 64. That finish allows him conditional status on the Web.Com under the new PGA Tour/Web.Com Tour qualifying rules.

Jeff Curl did not quit and lie down. Instead, he went to work on his game taking it to South America where he secured a spot in the Chile Classic finishing 34th. He then competed in the Brasil Champions winding up 33rd, missed the cut in the Panama Claro and just this past week finished T14 at the Chitimacha Louisiana Open.

It is obvious nothing can slow the competitive drive of Team New England’s Jeff Curl one bit. With his finish in Louisiana he is currently ranked 59th on the Web.Com’s money list after just 5 events of the 2014 Web.Com Tour’s season.

In addition to Curl’s -10/274, Jon Curran finished up -9/275 while Tim Petrovic missed the 36 hole cut at the Louisiana Open.
