Old Dominion University, ODU, golf team member Jamison Randall, Cumberland, RI finished 2nd in the 4th annual ODU/Outer Banks Collegiate Golf Tournament at Kilmarlic Golf Course in Powells Point, NC on the Outer Banks this past week. Randall, a junior at Old Dominion, finished regulation play of the 3 day event in a three way tie for medalist honors with Virginia Commonwealth University, VCU, Rocky Khara and Logan Lagodich, of Marshall University. The trio completed regulation play -6/207 and a one hole playoff saw Marshall’s Lagodich come out the victor over runners-up Randall and Khara.

VCU finished first followed by the University of Maryland in second place. The University of Hartford was third followed by Marshall in forth place. Old Dominion and Elon University were tied in fifth place.

Randall’s junior golf included, among other things leading Cumberland High School to its first state Championship in 21 years. He captured the individual crown by a stroke. Jamison also posted the best medal average in the state during the regular season at 36.62 nine hole average.

Randall was the 2010 RIGA (Rhode Island Golf Association) Junior Amateur Champion.  He competed in the 2010 US Junior Amateur Championship and won the World Series of Junior Golf at Triggs Memorial Golf Course in Providence.
