About the Els for Autism Foundation
The Els for Autism Foundation was established in 2009 by Ernie and Liezl Els and has since embarked on a catalytic philanthropic project; the establishment of ‘The Els Center of Excellence.’ The Foundation has launched a capital campaign to raise $30 million to finance the facility, which will focus on a global digital learning platform to provide children on the autism spectrum from around the world with access to best practices in education and therapy. It also will help connect the international autism community with best practices and the very latest information and research. The Center, the first of its kind in the world, will also have an on-site education facility, medical and professional services as well as research and transition to adulthood programs. One of the main fundraising initiatives for the Foundation is the Els for Autism Golf Challenge.
About the Els for Autism Golf Challenge
Spearheaded by World of Golf Hall of Famer and four times Major Champion, Ernie Els, the Golf Challenge consists of 30 Super Regional events at top-rated courses across the US, Canada, and the UK from April through September. Two-person teams compete for a place at the Grand Finale – a two-day extravaganza of golf and entertainment hosted by Ernie and his friends from the PGA TOUR in Las Vegas on October 19th & 20th.
In this tournament a team’s fundraising ability is valued as much as their performance on the golf course and as such there are two ways for teams to get to the Final – be the low net team at a Super Regional event or raise $10,000 or more and automatically qualify. Fabulous prizes!
Sign up for an event today and join Ernie in his fight against autism and be part of the largest charity-driven, amateur golf tournament in history! www.e4agolf.com
One of the Super Regional events is being held at TPC Jasna Polana, NJ on September 13th. The entry fee is $400 per player and includes golf, breakfast, lunch, gift bag, prizes and the chance to qualify for the Grand Finale in October. Spaces are limited so please sign up today at www.e4agolf.com
