The CVS Caremark Charity Classic kicks off on Sunday, June 23 with the Pepsi Pro-Am. Approximately 300 amateur and professional golfers will participate in the event which features shotgun starts at 7 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Golfers headlining the pro-am event include tournament co-host Billy Andrade as well as main field pro Lexi Thompson. The pro-am roster also features top local talent as fan favorites Dana Quigley and Brett Quigley return to Rhode Island Country Club. In addition, Geoff Sisk, who qualified for last week’s U.S. Open, will be on hand along with Golf Channel analyst and PGA TOUR winner Arron Oberholser and PGA TOUR player Hank Kuehne.
The first-place team from both the morning and afternoon Pepsi Pro-Am rounds will win more than bragging rights, as they will compete against each other in the Pepsi Max Shootout during Monday’s tournament. A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, the two four-person amateur teams will be woven into the professional’s tee-off rotation on Monday for this “tournament within a tournament.”
On Monday, tournament activities begin at 9 a.m. with a fun and entertaining clinic featuring Dan Hicks, NBC’s voice for golf and Notre Dame football. The clinic will feature a skills challenge featuring all 20 main field professionals. Trick shot artist and two-time RE/MAX World Long-Drive Champion Jamie Sadlowski will also provide entertainment. The first round of tournament competition begins immediately following the clinic with the final round slated for Tuesday at 9 a.m. The first round schedule is as follows:

The CVS Caremark Charity Classic is honoring veterans by offering complimentary admission for all active, reserve and retired Military Service Members and their dependents. Veterans simply present a valid Common Access Card or Retired Military Card at the gate any day throughout the three-day tournament. Police and Fire department employees and their families also receive free admission with a valid ID.

Open to attendees ages 21 or older, the Wine Pavilion is located between the 16th and 17th fairways along Narragansett Bay and offers daily food and wine samplings provided by award-winning Robert Mondavi, Clos Du Bois and Blackstone wines.
