The beautiful island of Bermuda celebrates the 62nd consecutive playing this December of the Bermuda Goodwill Tournament, which was founded in 1953. This year’s tournament will take place from December 8th – 12th at Bermuda’s best courses, including Port Royal Golf Course, home to the PGA Grand Slam of Golf, Riddells Bay Golf & Country Club, Mid Ocean Club and Tuckers Point Golf Club. The event features four days of competition, over four different courses.
The 72-hole stroke play competition has teams comprised of one club professional and three amateur players with participants playing in both an individual pro and a team event. Pro-Am teams are comprised of one club professional and three amateurs. The event offers club professionals the opportunity to invite their members for a great week of golf and special events in Bermuda. Teams enjoy warm temperatures, great hospitality and magnificent golf at some of the most spectacular courses in the world. Bermuda Goodwill is all about competition, friendship and the celebration of the game in ones of the world’s most pristine island locations. The Bermuda Goodwill Tournament is the longest running Pro-Am golf tournament in history worldwide and should be on the bucket list of every club in New England. December temperatures range from 65-75 degrees and course conditions are perfect at this time of year for the event.
This year event is filling quickly with teams from the U.S., Canada, the U.K and Europe and beyond. Some teams have been coming to Bermuda for upwards of 20, 30 and 40 years to play in the event and enjoy the great hospitality of the island of Bermuda.
