Coast to Coast, Canada is full of great golf. Prince Edward Island, The new Cabot Links and Cliffs, Banff Springs, Whistler; but home to over 800+ golf courses it’s the province of Ontario that often gets overlooked when talking about golf in the great white north.

Golf in Ontario was born from three leisure and outdoor activity driven tourism regions across Ontario. Central Counties located just north of Toronto, BruceGreySimcoe located North West of Toronto and The Great Waterway which spans most of the Eastern area of the province and all border one another. Each region have unique offerings but share one common denominator being world class golf.

golf-ontario2Central Counties If “Location, Location, Location” is the main driver of business traffic than Central Counties has it made. Located minutes north of Toronto and spanning 3 counties, CC arguably has some of the best golf courses (public and private) in the country. Angus Glen, Eagles Nest, Royal Ashburn and Osprey Valley top the list of the “must plays”. Just a pitch shot from the Pearson Airport and Toronto’s downtown core, Central Counties is prime to host your next golf group.

BruceGreySimcoe This region is largely known for its winter activities and skiing, but similar to other “winter” destinations they tend to have very underrated golf. You will be hard pressed to find a weekend without multiple bachelor parties at The Blue Mountain Resort and if you reach up about an hour and a half, Cobble Beach is a top 5 golf experience in the province. Saugeen Golf Club and Kincardine offer a slower pace and great summer destination for anyone looking for beach options. Beach options? In Canada? You heard me.

The Great Waterway TGW has invested heavily in its golf product and package offerings over the last 10 years. Hosting PGA Tour Canada events along with offering unique Stay&Play packages in the Bay of Quinte. A mix of outdoors, fishing, and a premier and growing wine region, there is something for all golf travelers within a very short distance. A+ accommodations mixed with top golf courses such as Black Bear Ridge, Timber Ridge, Smugglers Glen, Trillium Wood and many more. This region of Golf in Ontario has it all!
