Golfers Have the Chance to Play the Newest Course at Streamsong Resort

STREAMSONG, FLORIDA (August 3, 2017) – Forget about any shot you’ve ever played, any course you’ve ever visited. When it comes to golf at Streamsong, there is no comparison.

This September, Streamsong Resort will celebrate the opening of, Streamsong Black, the highly anticipated new course designed by 2016 Olympic course architect, Gil Hanse. This dazzling Par-73 championship layout offering breathtaking views of the vast landscape, which includes flowing elevation, and rolls, tumbles and sand ridges akin to the Sand Belt Region of Melbourne, Australia.

The original two courses are called “Red” and “Blue”, with Red designed by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw, while the Blue was the work of Tom Doak.

Golfweek Magazine named it the best new golf course in 2012 and put the courses amongst the top 40 public courses in the world in 2013. Top Hundred Golfcourses rates the Red course 77th in the U.S. and 4th in Florida. The site ranks the Blue as 87th in the U.S. and 5th in Florida.

The new Black course therefore has a lot to live up to, but with Gil Hanse as the architect genius behind the design – that should not be an issue.

The course is still growing in, but as the construction work was finished last summer, it has already got very good grass coverage. By September, when it is due to open, it should be pristine condition.

This exciting new addition features The Gauntlet, a two-acre putting course, and The Roundabout, a free-flowing practice area, each adding to the ultimate experience at the resort. They will also christen its new architecturally advanced clubhouse, including Bone Valley Tavern restaurant, which showcases panoramic views of one of the newest and most exciting additions to the game of golf today.

Your Chance To Win Advanced Access

In honor of the official grand opening, the resort launched the Streamsong Black Grand Opening Experience, which gives golfers a chance to win advance access to the new course while playing alongside the owners, golf course architect Gil Hanse, media, and industry leaders during a grand opening event on Sept. 25.

The promotion, which runs from June 15-Sept. 4, includes a complimentary foursome to play Streamsong Black, two nights’ accommodations in Streamsong’s luxury lakeside Lodge for four guests from Sept. 24-26, a chance to participate in the opening festivities, enjoy receptions and more. In addition, winners will have the opportunity to play the resort’s other nationally-ranked courses — Streamsong® Red and Streamsong® Blue. The winners of the promotion will be selected on Sept. 5.

With the addition of Streamsong Black, the resort will become the only location in the world where players can enjoy three distinct courses designed by four legendary architects – Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw, Tom Doak, and Gil Hanse.
