When homes come on the market in Augusta, Georgia’s beautiful estate areas around the iconic Augusta National Golf Club, they may come with an added perk: a contract for a week’s rental during the Masters, a rental so lucrative it may very well cover your annual home expenses.  And good news for Augusta’s home market: it is expanding at a fast clip thanks in part to the recent relocation of The Army Cyber Command to Fort Gordon just west of the city bringing 1,500 active-duty military, government civilian and contract personnel to the area. Many will no doubt look forward to unwinding on one of the many courses in this golf-rich area. Many may decide to move into a golf community like Champions Retreat Golf Club with three nines designed by Jack Nicklaus and Goshen Plantation Golf Club in Augusta featuring a Ellis Maples track.

There is also Bartram Trail Golf Club and Jones Creek Golf Club in Evans with home prices starting in the mid-$100,000s; and Mount Vintage Plantation & Golf Club in North Augusta. Many homes in Augusta itself are within a wedge shot of fine public courses like Forest Hills Golf Club, a restored historic gem in the gracious Forest Hills neighborhood.
