Cue the drum roll and the 2017 Pantone color of the year is… green! It is greenery to be more exact, described on the Pantone website as “a fresh and zesty yellow-green shade that evokes the first days of spring when nature’s greens revive, restore and renew.” Their expertise in the world of color seems to be a self fulfilled prophecy. The greenery choice bodes well for attendees of the Waste Management Phoenix Open, which has a “green out” on Saturday for fans to wear green anything to show support of recycling and protecting planet earth. This is “the greatest show on green grass” or the biggest party on the PGA tour.
As in nature, green pairs with earthy tones of beige or gray and is very compatible with the rainbow of colors. Who’s got your green going on in the golf apparel world? Just about everybody in varying shades. When you look at nature, there appears to be an infinite number of green hues.
