Classic and natural characterize Alister MacKenzie Apparel

Named after the man who brought us Augusta National, Cypress Point, Pasatiempo and Royal Adelaide, Alister MacKenzie Apparel debuted in 2015. Evoking the subtle creativity of the legendary course designer, Alister MacKenzie Apparel has been created for golfers who love classic styling, color and natural fabrics like cotton and wool. The South Carolina company was founded in 2014 by a team of fashion gurus headed up by former Hartmarx CEO and Chairman, Bert Hand.

Hand said, “Our brand has a strong focus on natural cotton, and will therefore be different from anything in the market.  Golfers moved away from cotton because it didn’t offer the moisture wicking available in synthetic performance wear.  We have incorporated a technology for cotton that transfers moisture away from the skin to the outside of the fabric where it can evaporate, keeping you drier and more comfortable.  We are sold on performance natural fibers.

“The soft feel, beautiful colors, and clean look of cotton products with the wicking properties of synthetics assure the Alister MacKenzie line will exceed expectations,” added Hand. New this year are “Seaside Links” and “Lochside Castles” selected from authentic tartan patterns as well as a new Activewear line.

Alister MacKenzie Apparel is available in selected private clubs and resort shops.
