The Quechee Club Announces Brian Kelley as General Manager and Chief Operating Officer and Selects New Clubhouse Manager

As Club Marks 50th Year, New Leadership Introduced

Hartford, Vt. (November 24, 2020) – The Quechee Club (Quechee), one of New England’s premier four-season lifestyle communities and private member clubs, recently named Brian P. Kelley, PGA, CCM, as general manager and chief operating officer. Kelley has more than 20 years of club management experience, most recently as general manager at Manchester Country Club (MCC) in Bedford, N.H. Following Kelley’s arrival in late summer this year, Jim Largess, former vice president of food and beverage at Sunday River Resort, was selected for the role of clubhouse manager at The Quechee Club. The pair, who have a proven track record of operational excellence, will serve the more than 1400 residents of the Quechee Lakes Landowners Association, the governing body that maintains the land and amenities of the 6,000-acre Upper Valley development.

Prior to The Quechee Club, Kelley held varying club management positions, including PGA golf professional roles, for Troon, the world’s largest golf management company headquartered in Scottsdale, Ariz. During his most recent tenure at Troon-managed MCC, Kelley received the company’s General Manager of the Year award, recognizing his optimistic vision and steadfast leadership. While Kelley was at the helm, MCC received the sought-after distinction of Boardroom Magazine Distinguished Club, reported across-the-board increases in member satisfaction scores, and revived its reputation as a noteworthy host for championship-caliber golf events. Kelley’s past club experience also includes notable clubs in Florida and Connecticut.

“I am honored to be here and be a part of this beautiful place called The Quechee Club,” said Kelley. “The membership has been so welcoming, and we’ve enjoyed an amazing summer and fall here in Vermont, despite the challenges of the Coronavirus pandemic. Through it all, the staff at Quechee hasn’t skipped a beat; their flexibility and creativity has been commendable.”

“Our Quechee community deserves the very best, and I sincerely believe that with our talented team, and Jim Largess now on board as clubhouse manager, Quechee has the best to offer everyone,” continued Kelley. “We are focusing on ensuring that everyone who experiences Quechee enjoys a memorable time, today and for many years to come. The future looks bright here in Hartford, Vt.”

With an extensive background in food and beverage operations, Largess will oversee Quechee’s multiple dining outlets, event facilities and extensive kitchen operations. “My goal is to bring a focus to exceeding expectations across the board,” said Largess. “When it comes to dining at Quechee, we want to leave a lasting impression and deliver an experience that’s as enjoyable and memorable as the Quechee sunsets!”
