Ten years ago TaylorMade introduced the first of the Spider putter line and it became an instant success with better amateurs and players on the PGA Tour. Now the Spider S joins the numerous other variations in the family.
According to Bill Price, TaylorMade Senior Director of Product Creation, Putter & Wedge, “With Spider S, we utilize advanced materials and machine milling to create the highest MOI and most forgiving model in our Spider lineup. The beauty and performance of this putter is in all of the tungsten. We use more than 150g in each head to deliver precision weighting and optimal performance.”
The head has the highest MOI (modulus of inertia or resistance to twisting) of any putter TaylorMade has ever manufactured testing with a value of 6,000, 50 percent more than many other putters. The Surlyn face insert is thicker for improved sound and feel.
