Mashpee, MA—The Club at New Seabury has named Bob Higgins as the new Director of Membership.
One of New England’s premier, private golf communities, New Seabury provides a unique Cape Cod vacation lifestyle. It offers the Ocean and the Dunes championship golf courses, full-service clubhouse, five restaurants, two beach clubs and beach bars, state-of-the-art fitness facility, sixteen tennis courts, pools, walking trails, and spectacular views of Nantucket Sound.
A veteran in the hospitality industry, Higgins has spent 12 years in roles ranging from Director of Membership to General Manager, all on Cape Cod. He started his career in hospitality at New Seabury in 2003, developing and executing a comprehensive membership drive that resulted in more than 300 new members in a five-year period. He then experienced similar successes at Ocean Edge Resort and Club and The Ridge Club. While at The Ridge Club, he rose to the level of General Manager and successfully increased membership over a five-year period.
“We are thrilled to welcome Bob to our dynamic team of directors,” said Chris Card, President of The Club at New Seabury. “Bob’s unparalleled vision and sales strengths will enhance membership opportunities property-wide and beyond for all of New Seabury.”
Bob is a graduate of Bentley University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Management. He is a member of the Club Managers’ Association of America, New England Club Managers Association and Professional Club Marketing Association. Bob and his wife Cathy are long-time residents of Cape Cod and live in Centerville with their two children.
Higgins said, “It’s an honor to return to New Seabury, a place I’ve always been fond of, and I look forward to reconnecting and serving the existing membership and working diligently to connect with new prospects.”
Higgins is inviting guests to enjoy both a taste of the New Seabury lifestyle and a relaxing getaway in the newly renovated guest accommodations in Cape Cod cottages or condominiums. During the stay, guests can learn more about New Seabury and the multiple benefits afforded through the exclusive privilege of membership.
Higgins said, “We recognize that our members’ preferences can be as varied as our magnificent landscape, so we offer a range of membership opportunities tailored to match everyone’s needs.”
