Titleist adds a hollow headed iron for those players wanting a super game-improvement category club particularly those with slower swing speeds such as seniors and ladies.

“T400 is the super distance Titleist iron. This club is engineered to get the ball in the air and launch it as far as possible, even when the strike isn’t perfect,” Josh Talge, Vice President of Marketing, Titleist Golf Clubs. “There are so many golfers, particularly players with moderate swing speeds, who can benefit from this technology. T400 gets the absolute most out of your swing while still providing the playability of a Titleist iron along with that look, sound and feel that dedicated players demand.”

Large tungsten weights inside the hollow wide head varies with loft and reaches 100g, the emphasis is very low center of gravity placement which aids a high ball launch as well as added forgiveness, two features players with higher handicaps will find helpful for better shots, more fun and lower scores. Nine grams of weight were saved in the stock grip compared the T-series stock grip and the stock graphite shafts are ultralight 50-gram models.

The T400 completes the T-family that includes the T100 Tour iron, T200 players-distance category and T300 game-improvement category.
